Last weekend I embarked on a culinary adventure to an Indian restaurant, called Naan-tasic with my mom. Although some of you guys may be able to guess my opinion on it, I figured I should make it public because this my blog, and I can write about whatever I want. And I always want to share my opinion.
Up until the age of twelve, my mouth would be on fire if I detected the slightest bit of spice in a meal, however, as a person I am INCESSANTLY changing. What do I change you ask... shampoos, my mind, or perhaps the most important of all, whether or not I have my morning bagel with butter or cream. The one constant I have in my life is the stress of delivering good content for my overwhelming and demanding audience. There is a lot of weight I have on my shoulders to be the best barely known writer in the blogging community.
Moving back to how my pallet was blander than Cheerios, I now recognize spice as one of the undeniable beauties in my life. The others are soccer, comedy, and dancing. As a wise man once said," Bust down Thotiana", and you know I do. Nobody does The Sprinkler as forceful and angrily as I, The Running Man so vigorously you may think I need to be somewhere important, and when I am on a time crunch, The Worm with so little flow it appears that the poor worm is having a grand mal seizure and is clinging on to dear life. It was my goal in physical therapy to strengthen my neck muscles enough to be able to do The Worm. Thousands of dollars later, and with a blatant disregard for the exercises they gave me, I can now proudly say, I am still unable to do The Worm. My neck, fine now, has evolved just like my tastebuds.
The staff was very helpful in helping me order my meal... let me rephrase that. They were very helpful in helping my mom order my meal. I was cracking under the pressure to make the perfect choices and I needed to distance myself from that stressful environment immediately. At that moment I was having flashbacks to when I had to order for myself at a Chipotle when I was in 7th grade after a soccer game. Oh god, it was not a pretty sight! "Would you like the brown or white rice in your burrito?". "Uhhhhh dude, I don't know! You're the one that works here!". They had to walk this clueless, undecisive, teenager step by step to assemble a burrito to my liking. You could see their frustration, but despite that, I messy devoured my WHITE rice burrito. Before you label me as a pig... your absolutely right, but can I at least be an adorable little teacup pig?
Once we got our food I noticed that the chicken was well cooked, the veggies were grilled to perfection, and the naan bread was soft and warm. That being said, the flavors were not for me. I think it is something I would just have to get used to, which I kind of expected. When I tried one of my friend Payal's mildly spicey Indian snacks, let's just say it was too much for me to handle. Overall, I would give Naan-tastic a solid 7/10 but unfortunately, Naan-tastic didn't live up to being as "tastic" as their name implies. I would re-name it, Naan-"Fair to Middling". Ehhh. However, the Indian restaurant decor not only lived up but exceeded my expectations in the terms of chicness for a restaurant right next to a Five Below and with a Walmart on the other end of the street. If you liked my review please give it a thumbs up and share. Gotta get that Ad money, am I right? That question was rhetorical, I know I am.
*moves. I was so impressed, I forfeited the use of proper spelling.
Never have I read such a fantastic description of dance moved in a restaurant review 10 out of 10 well done.
