A Day In My Life

Updated: Mar 2, 2021

You may be wondering about many things in the world. When will Covid end? People are angry! Who's rioting outside the Capital building today? Or perhaps what is the prettiest, funniest, sweetest, most down-to-earth blogger you know up to? Being humble that's what. Since you guys are going to be getting to know me better through my posts, I figured I should walk you through my daily routine!

The first thing I do in the morning is wake up... duh! What do you do? It is obviously a struggle for everyone to wake up early, and excuse if you think I'm being dramatic but, waking up is one of the most horrendous parts of my life! However, if I didn't do it I wouldn't have one. I guess it just goes to show that life is full of both pretty and ugly things. When I first wake up and I have a ball of messy curls for hair, drool hanging out of the side of my mouth, and that expression of both anger and confusion we all know too well plastered across my face. It is safe to say I know my place. That place is on a runaway. Then I eat my breakfast (usually a bagel with scrambled eggs and salsa with a small cup of orange juice on the side). Always, always eat breakfast people! Skipping meals is horrible for you! Cough, cough, Alisha!

After breakfast, I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. Even though I'm fourteen, internally I am still four, because if I got dressed before doing those things, I would have water all over my clothes and have to change. I'm not even kidding. Today I somehow got spaghetti sauce in my eyebrow at dinner. Physically I don't know how old I look! Even though I am just a freshman in high school and never wear makeup, I have been mistaken as an adult on a few different occasions. Most recently a couple of weeks ago when a teacher at school asked me if it was my first day working in the building when I asked for directions. So I felt a moral obligation to turn to her and say, "yes, yes it is!" She walked me to Math and told me to have a great class to which I responded, " Thanks! You too!". If I had to guess what it is about me that makes me appear older, I would say it is either the mask covering my retainer, my love of cardigans, or my boobs. Maybe it's a combination.

Then I wait outside for my bus. While I am waiting I usually look like the love child of Ralphy's brother from "A Christmas Story" in all my layers, and William H. Macy in "Shameless" because of my stringy hair, crooked hat, and bad attitude.

After school is over, I normally come home and get ready for track practice. However I, unfortunately, sprained my ankle so that is no longer the case. For the next week at least, I blog. After track, I eat dinner, do my homework, and call my friends.

Today called my bestie, Elizabeth who is my Valentine three years running! I asked her how she was and she told me she was sore everywhere. When I asked her why she said it was because she had to do ten sit-ups in gym class! That was hysterical so I wish could say I can relate... you know cause I love to be a part of things, but I really can't, that's all her. Then I take my shower and go to bed!

Well, this was my fascinating day! Hope you liked reading about it, and come back for more of my riveting articles!
